Use CRM to Announce New Products

Using customer relationship management (CRM) software to effectively track and communicate with clients and customers is just one benefit of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Small Business Edition. Companies are also using Microsoft CRM to communicate with the media – issuing invitations to events, sending out press releases about new products or important company developments, and managing follow-ups.
Since CRM offers a database for collecting and storing customer information, it can do the same for journalist contacts. Microsoft CRM is fully integrated with the Microsoft Office System, so it is easy to create press releases using Word or flyers or invitations using Publisher and then automatically distribute them to appropriate contacts from the database. And, as shown below, it also integrates with Outlook to support effective and timely e-mail communications.



If there is a development that warrants an immediate announcement to the media, the database can be quickly sorted and the announcement personalised for appropriate recipients by type of media, area of specialty, geographic coverage area or other appropriate designations.
